Book an appointment at Yukon Communicable Disease Control

By booking online, you agree to receive appointment confirmations and reminders via email or text at the contact details you provide. Use this service to book the following appointments:

If your concern is not represented in this list, call Yukon Communicable Disease Control (YCDC) at (867) 667-8323 as there are appointments that require telephone booking.

Before you start booking

  • If you have a Yukon Health Care Insurance Plan (YHCIP) use this to book your appointment.
  • When entering your YHCIP number or ID enter numbers only and no spaces or dashes.
  • If you do not have a YHCIP you can still book your appointment online.
  • You must provide and verify an email address or a phone number (SMS) in order to confirm your appointment and in case we need to contact you.
  • Notifications containing details about your appointment—such as type, date, time, and location—will be sent to your chosen contact method
  • If you select email as your preferred contact method confirmation, reminder messages will be sent to your email address from Government of Yukon (sender email address will be yukon-no-reply@email.phsa.ca).

STI Testing (can include Emergency Contraception and Pregnancy Testing)

Book this appointment for STI testing which could include syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and herpes. Regular testing is one of the best ways to prevent passing on STIs and health issues.

Before you arrive at your appointment:

  • If you have a health care card, bring it with you to the clinic.
  • Do not urinate within 2 hours of your appointment.

Pregnancy Testing

Book this appointment if you have missed a period and recently had unprotected sex. Pregnancy tests are most reliable from the first day of your missed period.

For the most accurate pregnancy test results, wait at least 2 hours after your last urination before testing.

Before you arrive at your appointment:

  • If you have a health care card, bring it with you to the clinic.
  • Do not urinate within 2 hours of your appointment.

Emergency Contraception (ECP)

Book this appointment if you had sex without using birth control or made a mistake using your contraception method.

Emergency contraception is birth control you can use to prevent pregnancy up to 3 days (72 hours) after unprotected sex. If it has been more than 72 hours, call at YCDC 867-667-8323.

The Levonorgestrel Morning After Pill (Plan B and similar brands) is offered free of charge.

Before you arrive at your appointment:

  • If you have a health care card, bring it with you to the clinic.

STI Results

Book this appointment only if you were tested at YCDC and are returning for results. If you were instructed by a health care provider to follow up with YCDC, phone 867-667-8323 to make an appointment.

This appointment does not apply if you were tested at Whitehorse General Hospital, a medical clinic, or any other locations unless you were contacted by YCDC staff for follow up.
